Rihanna made sure her mom felt the love on her big day, treating her to champagne and caviar for her 52nd birthday.

Page Six reports the nine-time Grammy winner and her mom, Monica Braithwaite, dressed up for the celebratory event at the Manhattan hotspot Pastis, a bistro where Rihanna has apparently been spotted enjoying meals at on at least five other occasions.

Rihanna opted for sheer pants, a striking leather jacket, white stilettos and studded gloves -- but she was also fashionably late for the big event.

Rolling up after the party started, Rihanna exited her vehicle holding a pastel pink and blue bag that had "Happy Birthday" scrawled out in gold, cursive lettering.  The 33-year-old was described as "giddy" when she arrived and was photographed "laughing" as she entered the restaurant.

Also attending her mother's birthday were her grandparents, Lionel and Clara Braithwaite, and her brother.

Sources at Pastis say the family dined on 23 entrees, enjoyed caviar and celebrated with champagne.
