WASHINGTON — First lady Melania Trump has no plans to leave the White House as she recovers from the coronavirus.
Trump is isolating at the White House after testing positive for the coronavirus last week and has no plans to visit her husband, President Donald Trump, who was hospitalized Friday, NBC News reported.
“She has Covid,” an official told NBC News. “That would expose the agents who would drive her there and the medical staff who would walk her up to him.”
Trump sparked criticism for his decision to take an impromptu parade Sunday around the hospital and wave to supporters who had gathered as he recovers.
“Melania is aware of the dangers of COVID-19,” an official told CNN. “Potentially exposing others is not a risk she would take.”
