The robberies in the store, located in the Minneapolis suburb of Burnsville, occurred at about 8 p.m. CST, the Star-Tribune of Minneapolis reported.

The thefts were similar to several mass robberies that have been occurring across the U.S., where groups of people “swarm” a store, take items off shelves and flee.

The thieves at the Best Buy on Friday fled before police arrived, the Star-Tribune reported. An unspecified number of items were taken, KARE-TV reported.

According to Burnsville police Capt. Don Stenger, there were no injuries and there have been no arrests.

“We don’t know exactly what was taken or the dollar value,” Stenger told reporters.

The incident comes after two “smash-and-grab” robberies at Nordstrom stores near San Francisco and in Los Angeles.

A Louis Vuitton store in San Francisco’s Union Square was ransacked by thieves last week, authorities said.

On Friday, at least eight men entered a Home Depot store in Lakewood, California, and stole hammers, sledgehammers and crowbars.

The Best Buy robbery remains under investigation, WCCO reported.
