Cormier’s sister confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that he died at a hospital in Etobicoke, Ontario, of injuries sustained in a fall.

The Toronto-born Cormier played Finn Cotter on “Heartland,” Canada’s longest-running one-hour drama, for the past two seasons. The popular show is also syndicated in the United States, Deadline reported.

The former bartender’s other small-screen credits included “Designated Survivor” and “American Gods,” while also appearing in the films “Firecrackers,” “Otto in Pyrenees” and 2019′s “Al in The Intersection,” the entertainment news site reported.

“We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Robert Cormier,” the “Heartland” production wrote on its social media accounts Tuesday, adding, “He was a beloved member of the ‘Heartland’ cast the last two seasons. On behalf of the ‘Heartland’ cast and crew, our thoughts are with him and his family, who have asked for privacy during this difficult time.”

Cormier is survived by his parents: Robert and Lisa; sisters: Brittany, Krystal and Stephanie; and grandmother, Joanne. His funeral is slated for Sunday in Etobicoke, THR reported.
