DRESDEN, Tenn. — A former volunteer firefighter in Tennessee is accused of setting fire to a church on Easter Sunday, authorities said.
Codie Austin Clark, 25, of Sharon, was arrested Wednesday and charged with one count of arson of a place of worship, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said in a news release. Clark is accused of setting fire to the New Salem Presbyterian Church in Sharon, investigators said.

Clark was booked into the Weakley County Jail, WKRN reported. He is being held without bond, the television station reported.
Members of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Weakley County Sheriff’s Office teamed up in the investigation, the TBI said in its news release.
Agents determined that Sunday’s fire was intentionally set by Clark, who had served as a volunteer firefighter with the Dresden Fire Department, the TBI said. The fire department was conducting an internal investigation involving Clark after recent fires in the area, the agency said.
