DEKALB COUNTY, GA — The YouTube content creator accused of impersonating a health inspector at restaurants in DeKalb County and other locations is responding to the allegations.
Boku Blackk, of Boku Blackk TV, says he was not impersonating a health inspector.
“I say I’m from the department of Asian Black, ID number 30303 from the department. Flat out, point blank period, I’ve never taken any food or any money,” Blackk said.
Blackk says his videos were intended to raise awareness, not undermine legitimate health inspectors.
“Honestly my whole intentions have always been pure and genuine as far as just bringing awareness to the community,” Blackk said.
He says he did not target any particular type of restaurant and believes the focus should be on conditions inside some establishments.
“Meat on the floor in these restaurants, roaches crawling around in these restaurants, employees picking their fingernails with knives and kitchen utensils and putting them back,” Blackk said.
Blackk also says he never intended to cause problems.
“Thats just my way of putting a spin on a crazy situation so to speak,” Blackk said.
Blackk says he is no longer making the videos.
