Woman accused of intentionally killing woman with her car sentenced to prison

DEKALB COUNTY, GA — An Atlanta woman has sentenced to life in prison for intentionally hitting and killing a woman with her rental car.

Dekalb County District Attorney Sherry Boston said the incident occurred in September of 2025.

The incident began after an argument with the victim’s daughter over a man, according to officials.

Police say Talisha Moore Ray-Al aimed her car at Laquita Baker, running her over before driving away from the scene.

The incident was recorded on nearby surveillance, according to officials.
