Streamer University event at State Farm Arena shut down due to safety concerns

ATLANTA — The Streamer University event hosted by popular internet streamer Kai Cenat at State Farm Arena in Atlanta has been shut down on Wednesday.

Cenat, who has more than 20 million followers, was hosting auditions for his Streamer University program.

“Due to the overwhelming number of people attending today’s Kai Cenat “Streaming University” audition and subsequent safety concerns, auditions have been stopped and those outside of State Farm Arena have been asked to remove themselves from the line," State Farm Arena officials said.

The event drew massive crowds as participants gathered for auditions connected to Cenat’s Streamer University.

Atlanta police said they were made aware of a video circulating on social media claiming there was an explosion connected to Streamer University on Tuesday night.

According to police, there was no explosion and no bomb threat related to the event.

Police also said the video circulating online does not depict the Atlanta Police Department.

It is unclear if auditions will be held on another date.
