Sex trafficking victim from North Carolina rescued in metro Atlanta

FULTON COUNTY, GA — A sex trafficking victim from North Carolina was rescued in metro Atlanta.

According to the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office task force, a juvenile was traveling to her mother’s home in Georgia from Fayetteville, NC in May, but she never arrived.

Investigators identified multiple online commercial sex advertisements involving the juvenile victim throughout the metro Atlanta area.

The victim was rescued in East Point, officials said. Her identity was not released.

A suspect was later arrested.

The investigation remains ongoing.
