ATLANTA — Atlanta police are investigating another pedestrian death on a metro Atlanta interstate after a man was struck by multiple vehicles Wednesday night.
Officers were called to I-85 near Metropolitan Parkway just before 11 p.m. following reports of a person who had been hit by a vehicle.
When officers arrived, they found an adult man lying on the interstate. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators say the man was in the far left lane when he was initially struck by an unknown vehicle. He was then hit by several other vehicles.
The incident came hours after another pedestrian was struck and killed on I-75 near Howell Mill early Wednesday morning.
Police say the man in that incident darted onto the highway before he was struck by multiple vehicles.
Both incidents remain under investigation.
