Parents charged in connection to death of 2-year-old daughter in Conyers

CONYERS, GA — Conyers police arrested two people last week in connection with the death of their two-year-old daughter.

Conyers police officials say on May 3, officers responded to a report of an unresponsive child at a Conyers home.

Nevaeh Wynn was rushed to Piedmont Rockdale Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

“During the investigation, detectives executed a search warrant at the residence and recovered evidence that included used nitrous oxide canisters and an empty container of kratom capsules,” Conyers police officials said.

Rafael Pedron Wynn, 30, and Kerri Dysart, 28, both of Conyers, were charged with Murder in the Second Degree.

The Conyers Police Department consulted with the DeKalb County Medical Examiner’s Office throughout the investigation, officials said.

Toxicology testing was later completed, and the Medical Examiner’s Office classified the manner of death as homicide.

The investigation remains active.
