PEACHTREE CITY, GA — A Peachtree City-based nonprofit is receiving a $25,000 investment to help adopt and train dogs as service animals for veterans.
Healing 4 Heroes will use the money to help cover the costs of its service dog training program, as well as expenses veterans may face when getting a service dog.
Embrace Pet Insurance spokesperson Amber Batteiger said the company is supporting the nonprofit and its mission.
“We really aligned with their mission of not only supporting veterans but also the animal welfare component of it,” she said.
The funding is expected to help Healing 4 Heroes continue pairing trained service dogs with veterans who need them, according to officials.
