ATLANTA — A man is facing charges after a person was found dead inside a burned Atlanta apartment last week.

Officials say Robert Smith, 23, was charged with murder, first degree arson and aggravated assault.

The identity of the victim was not released.

Smith is a convicted felon, officials said.

He is being held at the Fulton County Jail on unrelated charges.
