ATLANTA — A man in the United States illegally was arrested and faces charges after being accused of making a false citizenship claim to vote.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Atlanta says Benito Iniguez was illegally living in Winder.

He is accused of getting a fake passport and trying to vote.

Prosecutors say he registered to vote and cast a ballot in the general election on Nov. 5, 2024.

Iniguez is the fourth arrested in north Georgia since September for voting in federal elections, according to officials.
