ATLANTA — Big plans for a potential expansion are coming to a popular destination in Atlanta.

The Atlanta Botanical Garden is planning a major expansion along the Atlanta Beltline.

The $160 million project will add new gardens, amenities and community programming, expanding the garden by about 30%.

Construction is set to break ground this fall, according to officials.

The project is expected to be completed by 2029.
