Georgia now allowing delivery for registered medical marijuana patients

ATLANTA — Georgia is now allowing home delivery of medical cannabis for registered patients.

Andrew Turnage with the Georgia Medical Cannabis Commission says this is good news for patients who aren’t helped by other medications.

“I would look for the possibility for implementation on the private sector side,” Turnage said. “The industry will be able to take advantage of this new rule potentially before November 1.”

He says the goal is to help people who can’t drive or have trouble getting to a dispensary.

Turnage said licensed producers can also deliver to long-term care facilities.
