ATLANTA — Georgia’s incumbent members of the U.S. House of Representatives held onto their seats in Tuesday’s midterm elections, while several new candidates secured victories in other congressional districts.

Democratic Reps. Nikema Williams, Lucy McBath and Hank Johnson all won reelection, securing another term representing their respective districts in Washington.

Republican incumbents Rich McCormick, Austin Scott, Brian Jack and Andrew Clyde also won their races, maintaining their seats in the U.S. House.

Meanwhile, several congressional districts will have new representation following Tuesday’s election.

In Georgia’s 10th Congressional District, Republican Houston Gaines defeated Democrat Pam Delancy.

Republican John Cowan won the race for Georgia’s 11th Congressional District, defeating Democrat Chris Harden.

In the 13th Congressional District, Democrat Jasmine Clark defeated Republican Jonathan Chavez.

The results come after much of the attention surrounding Georgia’s midterm elections focused on the state’s U.S. Senate race.
