ATLANTA — The Georgia Department of Transportation says all lanes of I-285 will close on the westside of the Perimeter in metro Atlanta next weekend for road work.

GDOT says the road work is scheduled to take place on the weekend of Aug. 28 through Aug. 31.

The road work will shut down all lanes of I-285 from Cascade Road to Langford Parkway.

The agency also says the contractor is tentatively planning two additional full closures for Sept. 11 through Sept. 14 and Sept. 25 through Sept. 27.

GDOT says the work could be postponed because of weather.
