Election Day signs with wrong date appear in predominantly Black Atlanta neighborhoods

‘That’s not true:’ Atlanta pastors warn of false election-date signs in Black communities

ATLANTA — A group of Atlanta pastors is warning voters about signs displaying the wrong date for Election Day in predominantly Black neighborhoods.

Members of the Concerned Black Clergy of Metropolitan Atlanta say signs have appeared in several neighborhoods claiming Election Day is Thursday, Nov. 5, instead of Tuesday, Nov. 3.

The pastors believe someone is deliberately attempting to mislead Black voters by posting the incorrect election date.

However, it remains unclear who is responsible for putting up the signs.

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3.
