FOREST PARK, GA — A disability discrimination lawsuit was settled with an employee at a metro Atlanta area logistics center.
Ohio-based company EXEL/DHL supply chain will pay $80,000 as part of the settlement with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
The complaint was made by an employee at the Forest Park logistics center with sickle cell disorder, who was required to spend time in a cooler.
The company denied her request to be assigned other jobs outside of the cooler.
The company eventually let the employee go.
Her identity was not released.
