ATLANTA — A recall has been issued for a hairdryer sold at Aldi due to the potential electrical shock risk.
The recall is for the Ambiano Ionic Hairdryer sold at Aldi’s locations around the country between August and September 2025.
Officials say the produce does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
According to officials, “the product presents a risk of electric shock or fire as, over time, the power cord may become damaged, allowing access to live parts or causing overheating. If the user were to touch an accessible live part, they could receive an electric shock.”
Any consumer who may have purchased the Ambiano Ionic Hairdryer is encouraged to stop using it and return it to the nearest Aldi store to receive a full refund.
