According to school officials, Officer Artie Weathers showed up at Ault Elementary School in Cypress, Texas, on Wednesday and was visibly intoxicated.

School officials called Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District police, who took Weathers into custody and charged him with DWI, the television station reported.

Weathers bonded out of jail.

In a statement, the school district confirmed that “an intoxicated parent arrived on campus to pick up a child.”
