Live Fierce. Go Red. Cardiovascular disease is the No. 1 killer of women – and too many women, particularly our youngest most diverse women, remain unaware. So it’s time to call it.
Join KISS 104.1 and the American Heart Association for the 2021 Atlanta Go Red for Women Wellness Expo and Luncheon Friday, June 18 11:30am - 1:00pm.
In 2004, Go Red for Women was born as a campaign to raise awareness among women about their great health threat – heart disease. Slowly, the campaign grew into a movement – one that not only brought together thousands of women annually but became the trusted, passionate, relevant force for change to eradicate heart disease and stroke all over the world. It’s not just about wearing red; it’s not just about sharing heart health facts. It’s about:
◾Providing women with opportunities to prioritize and take charge of their own health;
◾Building communities that support and provide access to healthy choices;
◾Demanding equal access to healthcare for all women and their families;
◾Increasing women in STEM in upcoming generations.
Why? Because losing an entire generation to cardiovascular disease because they weren’t aware simply is not an option. CLICK to learn more and reduce your risk factors.
One is Too Many
- 2020 was a year like no other, but we’re still standing. When women come together, there is nothing we can’t achieve. COVID, heart disease, stroke – we won’t let it beat us. It’s time to take action. Why? 1 in 3 women are dying from cardiovascular disease.
- Share the message: Losing even one woman is not an option.
- Losing even one woman to cardiovascular disease is too many.
- The American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women® movement is issuing an urgent call to raise awareness about the No.1 killer for women in the U.S.
