In order to provide much-needed school supplies for the students in Clayton County, Chick-fil-A has partnered with the Clayton County Board of Education to host a "Back-to-School Supply Drive" during the weeks of July 18th - August 5th, 2011. Join KISS 104.1's Twanda Black for the "Back-to-School Bash" on Saturday, August 6th at First Baptist Church of Jonesboro at the "ROC" from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. This will be a FREE, action packed event with moonwalks, a train, the Braves, the Hawks, and local churches and businesses helping to celebrate the return to school and a successful school supply drive.
We are asking for your help. If your church or business would like to participate at this event, be a drop-off location or if you have any questions, please contact Ali Rice, Marketing Director for Truett's Grill at alirice@bellsouth.net or at 678-544-1644.
We also need help collecting supplies. The school supplies most needed by the school system are:
- A pack of wide or college-ruled paper
- A pack of 8 ½ x 11 spiral bound notebooks
- A pack of 12 #2 pencils or pens
- 3-ring binder folder
- Composition notebook
- A pack of Dry Eraser Markers (for the teachers)
