On August 31, 2026, Duane “Keefe D” Davis was convicted of first-degree murder for orchestrating the 1996 killing of rap icon Tupac Shakur.

A Las Vegas jury reached the guilty verdict in under three hours of deliberation, marking the first-ever conviction in the nearly 30-year-old cold case.

Davis, a 63-year-old former “shot caller” for the South Side Compton Crips, faces life in prison without parole.
