A member of Jada West’s family says the 12-year-old was defending herself when she got into a fight with another young girl a short distance away from her home.

Jada attended Mason Creek Middle School. The fight happened after she got off the bus. Jada walked away from the fight but reportedly collapsed shortly after.

The cause of death hasn’t been released but, the pre-teen was left brain dead after the altercation.

Villa Rica Police are now investigating. Noone has been arrested.
