{Video} Brown avoids jail time for London nightclub brawl

Chris Brown was handed an eight-month suspended prison sentence at London’s Southwark Crown Court, avoiding jail time for a nightclub brawl.

According to prosecutors and CCTV footage presented to the court, Brown used a tequila bottle as a weapon, striking music producer Abraham Diaw over the head twice. Akinlolu then punched Diaw in the head and kicked him after he fell to the ground.

The 37-year-old singer pleaded guilty to a charge of affray. In exchange for his guilty plea, prosecutors dropped heavier charges including assault, causing grievous bodily harm (GBH), and possession of an offensive weapon.

Chris received an eight-month prison sentence, suspended for 12 months. This means he will not serve time behind bars as long as he does not violate the terms of his sentence or commit further offenses during this period.
