Two new giant pandas, Ping Ping and Fu Shuang, have arrived at Zoo Atlanta. Their arrival marks the return of the species to Atlanta following the departure of the previous pandas in late 2024.

Lun Lun and Yang Yang (who arrived in Atlanta in 1999) along with their U.S.-born twin cubs, Ya Lun and Xi Lun traveled back to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in Sichuan, China, as their long-term loan agreement concluded.
