Social media users ask Oprah, Gayle King to address Weinstein sentence

On Wednesday, Harvey Weinstein was sentenced to 23 years in prison -- and now social media users are reportedly urging Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King to respond.

The media personalities were "trending on Twitter just hours after" Weinstein's sentence was handed down, The Jasmine Brand's Char Patterson reports.

Patterson adds, “Many fans are calling out the duo amid the narrative that they only cover sexual assault accusations against men of color.

“In the past, Oprah Winfrey has taken part in projects that feature women who accused Russell Simmons of sexual assault, and men who accuse Michael Jackson of the crime.”
