star Porsha Williams and rappers YBN Cordae and Trae The Truth were among the 87 people arrested Tuesday while peacefully protesting outside of Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron's house, demanding justice over Breonna Taylor.
Activist Tamika Mallory, Love & Hip Hop star Yandi Smith and Houston Texans player Kenny Stills were also among the group demonstrators who were arrested and charged with intimidating a participant in a legal process, disorderly conduct and criminal trespass, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department, as reported by the Louisville Courier-Journal.
Following her release Wednesday, Williams shared a photo on Instagram of her standing with Tamika Palmer, Taylor's mother. "It was my pleasure!" Williams captioned the photo. "I love you and as always praying for you, Ms.Tamika Palmer. Ps: Thank you for waiting for us to get out! It was heartwarming exiting and seeing your family. It was an honor."
She added, "Arrest the Cops! Do The RIGHT thing," before tagging Cameron's Instagram name.
The protest was led by Mallory's Until Freedom and the Grassroots Law Project, two leading organizations in the Black Lives Matter Movement. Among other things, protestors are demanding the arrest of the officers involved in Breonna Taylor's shooting death during the execution of a no-knock warrant March 13.
In April, Taylor's mother filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the officers involved -- Myles Cosgrove, Jonathan Mattingly and Brett Hankison -- who have since been fired.
