Rihanna took the Microsoft Theater stage last night at the 2019 BET Awards to present Mary J. Blige with the BET Lifetime Achievement Award.

Variety Magazine's staff writers report that while hailing the iconic singer for her style and sound, "Rihanna also made mention of Blige's history-making two Oscar nominations in the same year, for best actress and original song for 'Mudbound.'"

CNN reporter Lisa Respers writes that following a moving acceptance speech, Blige “offered up a medley of her hits, including her 1990s singles like ‘Real Love’ and ‘You Remind Me.’”
