NBA star Kobe Bryant reportedly celebrated the premiere of the new movie “Just Mercy” in a big way.

The Grio reports that this past weekend, Bryant bought out a Philadelphia movie theater for those in his hometown who attended the premiere of the legal drama.

Released nationwide on Jan. 10th, “Just Mercy” stars Michael B. Jordan and Jamie Foxx.

The Grio’s Amanda Washington reports that the film is based on a true story about attorney Bryan Stevenson, played by Jordan, “who decides to take the appeal case of a Black man Walter McMillian, played by Jamie Foxx.”

McMillian was wrongfully imprisoned in 1986 for the murder of a white woman.
