Gov. Kemp extends gas tax suspension

Gov. Brian Kemp has suspended the state’s gas tax for two more weeks,

The suspension is going into effect on May 20 12:01 a.m. and will last through June 3.

House Bill 1199 authorized a 60-day suspension of the motor fuel tax lasting until May 19 at 11:59 p.m. to combat rising gas prices due to the war in Iran. The extension comes just ahead of Memorial Day Weekend!
