Family battle over Aaliyah’s music gets ugly as her uncle blames his son for her death

Diane Houghton, the mother of the late singer Aaliyah (pictured), is shutting down accusations made about her daughter in Lifetime’s “Surviving R. Kelly" docuseries.

A family war erupts over 25 years later?!! Aaliyah’s uncle Barry Hankerson claims in new court docs that his son failed to handle her travel arrangements, leading to the tragic 2001 crash.

Aaliyah’s cousin, Jomo Hankerson, is suing his father, Barry Hankerson, who was Aaliyah’s uncle and longtime manager, over money connected to the singer’s music.

Jomo claims he’s owed 12% of the money made from music assets tied to Aaliyah, Toni Braxton, DMX and Timbaland — and says his father used the record label to hide money and inflate expenses.

He’s seeking more than $1.2 million in damages.
