This past Saturday, Erykah Badu and Jill Scott came together for the first Verzuz live stream battle between two women.
“But the stream was more a union between two friends playing great music than it was a ‘battle,’” CNN’s Amir Vera writes. “The two singers played each of their hits as well as songs each have written.”
More than 700,000 viewers reportedly tuned in to see the ‘battle,’ and some were pleasantly surprised Instagram did not cut the three-hour live stream short. Vera points out that neither Badu or Scott seemed to notice.
"I don't have no conception of time. I don't know what that means," Badu told Scott at one point.
