Civil rights attorney and close advisor to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. passes away at 95

Clarence B. Jones, the civil rights attorney and advisor who helped write parts of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s iconic “I Have a Dream” speech, has passed away at 95.

Jones helped organize the 1963 March on Washington, defending Dr. King in court and even helping smuggle out the famous “Letter from Birmingham Jail.”
