The University of Notre Dame Office of Public Affairs and Communications said Brooks will be the first musician to perform a full concert in the stadium. In the past, musicians have done a few songs at halftime during football games but not a whole show. In 1987, the stadium hosted the Special Olympics opening ceremony.

“It’s never been done before, and it’s our understanding that Garth loves to do things that haven’t been done before,” Notre Dame’s associate vice president for event management, Lee Sicinski, said at the news conference. “To bring a historic event like a Garth Brooks concert to the stadium, it just gives you goose bumps.”

Brooks is coming off of a three 1/2-year world tour with his wife and fellow country singer, Trisha Yearwood. It was the biggest tour in the world by an American artist, selling 6.3 million tickets.

8 Atlanta spots where the OWN hit ‘Greenleaf’ is filmed

The OWN hit “Greenleaf” chronicles the drama and faith of a fictional Memphis megachurch, but the careful viewer will notice that the city of Atlanta stars in the series alongside actors Keith David, Lynn Whitfield and Oprah Winfrey.

»RELATED: OWN's 'Greenleaf,' shot in Atlanta, gets third season

The show, which premiered in June 2016 with 3 million overnight viewers (the second strongest ratings for a new scripted show that year), is produced for OWN by Lionsgate, which also shoots “Step Up: High Water” and “Dear White People” in Atlanta.

When Season 3 premieres on August 28 and 29, numerous Atlanta locations will form the backdrop for the Greenleaf family's scandals. The return of Pastor Grace, played by Merle Dandridge, promises to unleash turbulent forces and the addition of new cast member Patti LaBelle will likely break the internet.

While casting calls for extras are regularly spotted on casting sites, shooting locations often remain secret until the very last minute. Filming at Juicy Joint in Decatur, for example, was especially secretive: "We didn't find out until the day before the shoot that Oprah would actually be on location and were sworn to secrecy," co-owner Wendell Robinson told On Common Ground News.

"She came in, greeted us and got right to work."

Being selected as a shooting location made a real impact, Robinson said. "

Atlanta has tons of bars and we are honored that they chose a small bar like ours. It is so uplifting to have an opportunity like this come to our neighborhood, where homelessness and re-gentrification run rampant. I think that says a lot about the potential of our community."

In addition to her role as producer, Oprah Winfrey appears in the series as Mavis McCready, the sister of Lady Mae Greenleaf and a close confidante of Grace, the bishop's estranged daughter. Mavis runs a nightclub that might look familiar to Atlantans: Cigar City Club was the location for club shots.

Before Season 3 debuts in August, keep an eye out for these eight Atlanta locations:

Eagle Rock Studios

6205 Best Friend Road, Norcross

All three seasons of Greenleaf have been filmed at Eagle Rock, according to location manager Patrick Rofoli.

"We have a portion of the Greenleaf Mansion built on stage, along with the offices and hallways of the churches, including an amazing coffee shop that we added this season to the church set."

The parsonage and various swing sets are all also shot on various Eagle Rock stages. "Both Norcross and Gwinnett County are film-ready communities with great support from the citizens and the government," Rofoli added.

House of Hope Atlanta

4650 Flat Shoals Pkwy, Decatur

This huge, beautiful church has featured in all three seasons as lead character Bishop James Greenleaf's home church, Calvary Fellowship. Organized more than 138 years ago as a Sunday School and prayer meeting group, it now ministers to five generations under the leadership of senior pastor/teacher Dr. E. Dewey Smith, Jr.

Atlanta Coliseum

2075 Market St., Duluth

For now, we'll have to guess what brings the series' characters to this large music venue in Episode 303. Ordinarily, the site hosts concerts like the Farruko World Tour on July 6 and the Cosculluela Tycoon Tour on Aug. 23.

Gwinnett County Jail

2900 University Pkwy, Lawrenceville

Someone is aparently going to jail in Season 3 of “Greenleaf” (and someone else will probably visit them there for a very dramatic conversation). Scenes for Episodes 307 and 308 were shot at the Gwinnett County Jail. Operated by the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Department, it has the capacity for more than 2,700 offenders.

Wages & Sons Funeral Home

1031 Lawrenceville Highway, Lawrenceville

The upcoming season of Greenleaf will involve the fictional Thompson Casket & Funeral Service, filmed at the family-owned Wages & Sons Funeral Home, which has served metro Atlanta's funeral and crematory needs for more than 50 years.

City of Norcross

Locations include 53 Born St. and 390 Wingo St.

Memphis will look a lot like a Norcross neighborhood in the later-season episodes that feature Percy, Coralie and Grace in home settings.

TPC Sugarloaf

2595 Sugarloaf Club Drive, Duluth

This exclusive golf course outside the Atlanta suburb of Duluth will be transformed into the fictional Sommer Gate Assisted Living facility in Episode 309.

Noble Fin Restaurant

5260 Peachtree Pkwy, Peachtree Corners

If you want to dine like the characters in “Greenleaf,” check out Noble Fin. But don't expect Memphis-style barbecue! In real life, this Episode 313 location is best known for its oysters (they even have an Oyster Happy Hour) and its chef-driven fine dining.

Summer Guide OTP edition is a seasonal series from The Atlanta Journal Constitution that highlights some of the best dining and outdoor experiences taking place outside of Atlanta’s perimeter.

Hailey Baldwin appears to wear engagement ring from fiance Justin Bieber

A day after reports emerged of her engagement to Justin Bieber, Hailey Baldwin was seen with a big diamond on her left ring finger.

People reported that fans saw the couple on vacation in the Bahama Sunday and noticed a large, oval-cut diamond on her hand. TMZ also reported the news.

People reported that Stephen Baldwin, Hailey Baldwin’s father, reportedly tweeted and deleted a confirmation Sunday.

“Sweet smile on my face! Me&wife (Kennya),” the proud father and actor wrote. “Always pray 4 Gods will !! He is moving in the hearts of JB&HB. Let’s all pray for His will to be done. Love you 2 so much!”

The tweet included a Bible scripture of Ephesians 5:23-27, which says, “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.”

Bieber’s parents, Pattie Mallette and Jeremy Bieber, were also tagged in the tweet.

Stephen Baldwin soon replaced the enthusiastic tweet with something more cryptic, instead quoting the Bible verse John 1:14.

Jeremy Bieber also made a vague post around the time engagement rumors emerged, but did so on Instagram.

“Proud is an understatement! Excited for the next chapter,” he captioned a photo of his son on the beach at sunset.

‘Damn Yankees’ star Tab Hunter dead at 86

Tab Hunter, the 1950s movie heartthrob who starred in “Damn Yankees” and “Battle Cry” and later became an icon in the gay community, died Sunday night, three days shy of his 87th birthday, Variety reported.

The news was announced on a Facebook page associated with the actor.

Hunter died Sunday night in Santa Barbara from a blood clot that caused a heart attack, Allan Glaser, his partner for more than three decades, told The Hollywood Reporter.

In addition to his acting career, Hunter had success in music with “Young Love,” which was named the No. 4 song of 1957 by Billboard. But rumors that he was gay dogged his career in an era where open homosexuality could end careers.

In 2005, Hunter confirmed the rumors about his homosexuality in his autobiography, “Tab Hunter Confidential: The Making of a Movie Star.”

In a 2015 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Hunter said he wrote the book because he “didn’t want someone putting a spin” on his life.

"I thought, 'Look, get it from the horse's mouth and not from some horse's ass after I'm dead and gone,'" he said.

Hunter wrote how studios attempted to mask his sexuality by linking him with co-stars and friends like Debbie Reynolds and Natalie Wood, Variety reported. The book spawned a 2015 documentary by Jeffrey Schwarz, which was also called “Tab Hunter Confidential.”

In “Damn Yankees,” Hunter played Joe Hardy, a middle-aged Washington Senators fan who sells his soul to the devil in order to become a young baseball star and prevent the New York Yankees from winning another pennant. The film was an adaptation of the Broadway hit, a musical version of Douglass Wallop’s best-selling novel, “The Year the Yankees Lost the Pennant.”

Later in his career, Hunter starred in two films with drag queen Divine. He played Todd Tomorrow, a drive-in owner, in the 1981 comedy, “Polyester.” The film introduced movie-goers to scratch-and-sniff cards, including “Model Building Glue,” “Smelly Shoes” and Flatulence,” according to The Hollywood Reporter. He also appeared with Divine in the 1985 film, “Lust in the Dust.”

Hunter did summer stock and dinner theater during the 1960s, Variety reported. He also appeared in films during the 1970s and 1980s, including “The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean” in 1972 and “Grease 2” in 1982.

Bieber, 24, and Baldwin, 21, have not commented on the news, originally reported Sunday morning by TMZ.

Several news outlets, citing anonymous sources, appeared to back up the TMZ report of the engagement, which was reportedly announced Saturday night in the Bahamas.

"They are engaged and it happened Saturday night in front of a crowd in Baker's Bay," E! News reported.

Us Weekly, citing a source close to Baldwin, said that the model “is obsessed with Justin and always has been.”

“It’s kind of a surprise, but kind of not. Justin has been extremely happy these past few weeks,” a source told People. “He has known Hailey for a long time. This might seem sudden, but they know each other very well.”

Bieber and Baldwin dated previously before breaking up in 2016, Billboard reported. The couple apparently recently rekindled their relationship and was since dancing at a restaurant Friday, Billboard reported.

According to media reports, the singer of “Love Yourself” and “Where Are U Now” proposed to Baldwin in front of a crowd at a Bahama resort. Bieber’s security detail allegedly told the crowd to put their phones away “because something special was about to happen.”

Bieber’s father, Jeremy Bieber posted vague congratulations Sunday on Instagram, posting that he was “excited for the next chapter.”

Bieber’s mother, Pattie Mallette, tweeted “Love Love Love Love Love Love Love.”

Predictably, social media was abuzz with the reports:
