Big Boi recently took his talents to NPR for the publication’s “Tiny Desk Concerts” series.
During the 12-minute set, the artist, who is one half of the Atlanta-based rap duo Outkast, performed three songs with Organized Noize’s Sleepy Brown and their backing band and singers. Big Boi, real name Antwan Patton, began his hitmaking run with his Outkast partner André 3000 with their first album 1994’s “Player’s Ball.”
Dressed in a hoodie that read “Trap House” in a yellow and black block type font reminiscent of the Waffle House logo, the Grammy-award winning rapper kicked things off with an Outkast classic, “So Fresh, So Clean.”
He and his crew then moved on to “All Night,” a track from his latest solo album “Boomiverse.” And for the finale, he returned to his Outkast tracklist for a rendition of “The Way You Move.”
