GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. —

A local teacher and football coach is out of jail on bond after a woman accused him of exposing himself to her in front of a store.

Channel 2’s Gwinnett County Bureau Chief Tony Thomas uncovered warrants about the alleged incident Tuesday afternoon.

Reeves Blankenship allegedly exposed himself to the woman in the Hobby Lobby parking lot off Lawrenceville-Suwannee Road, sources told Thomas.

Blankenship, who teaches science and coaches football at Brookwood High School, was charged with misdemeanor count of public indecency.

Police incident reports were not complete so exact details of the allegations were not available, but there is no indication that the two knew each other.

Blankenship’s Twitter feed is full of praise for the Brookwood football team. Records show he's coached there for at least the last two seasons. He quickly bonded out of jail and hired defense attorney Phyliss Miller, who told Thomas by phone, “This is a fine young man that I have known most of his life. We intend to defend him to the full extent of the law. We ask that he be given the benefit of the doubt until all the facts are out and the investigation is complete.”

School officials call this a personal issue and say no actions have been taken by the district.
