2017 Fourth Quarter winner

Delta Community Credit Union, Georgia’s largest credit union with more than $5.6 billion in assets, in partnership with Atlanta radio station KISS 104, awarded the last of four scholarships it will distribute in 2017 to students attending a Historically Black College or University (HBCU). The $2,000 award was presented yesterday to Antonio McMillan.

A native of Fairburn, Georgia, McMillan graduated from Hapeville Charter Career Academy in College Park. Now a junior at Savannah State University majoring in biology, McMillan plans to pursue a career as an orthodontist.

2017 Third Quarter Winner

Wilson, who is from Chicago, says he is responsible for funding his own education, and he works hard to achieve high grades at CAU. “When I was in eighth grade, I was ranked near the bottom of my class,” said Wilson. “Since then I have stayed the course to perform better, for myself and my family. I appreciate Delta Community for helping me continue my education.”

2017 Second Quarter Winner

Bria Adams is an incoming freshman at Spelman College where she will major in Psychology and minor in Music. She graduated from New Manchester High School in Douglasville, Georgia. Bria is a Bonner Scholar and the recipient of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Cup for “Best All-Around Senior.” She loves to sing and has performed on stage in chorus and drama productions at school.

2017 First Quarter Winner

Congratulations to David C. Early, III, the first HBCU scholarship recipient of 2017. David is currently in his freshman year at Morehouse College. He is an English Pre-Law major and dreams of one day becoming an entertainment attorney. David attended high school at Madison Academic Magnet High School in Jackson, Tennessee.
